The Salvation Army has been serving and ministering to Canadians
for over 125 years offering a variety of cutting-edge and traditional
social services. It is also a church denomination, which operates
nearly 350 local evangelical churches throughout Canada.
Their vision was to develop a local church that would serve the
spiritual and social service needs of the community in Pickering,
Ontario.

| Founded in October 2000,
the church was named "Hope Community Church". After a
few months over 150 individuals were attending every week.
By April 2001, our pastors brought together another team of committed
people known as "The dream team" to develop our future
plan and "Our Vision" statement. It is presented to the
church family for their consideration and endorsement. |
